Make money as an artist.
Start Earning Money As an Artist.
Often times, artists are told or internally assume in fear, that they can’t make a viable career out of their highly cherished passion.
Truth is, while some artists might struggle to make ends meet, others make a good living by getting creative, innovatively selling their work, and supplementing their income.
Quite often we hear or know about a struggling artists, but being an artist is definitely a remarkably viable career option; provided the professional
is willing to put the effort in.
While some artists might struggle to make ends meet, others make a good living from their art works, skill, and advisory serviced. These group of artists don’t just sell their work; they also use other methods to supplement their income.
The truth is, most artists can make money—they’re just not sure where, and how to start. Here are some tips to get the ball rolling so you can start earning money as a pro or hobby artist.
1.Take internships
It’s useful for artists to think about how they’ll make money a few years before they actually graduate. One of the easiest ways to make connections in the art world is to take an art internship, as you get to work alongside established artists and private gallery enterprise.
Interning with galleries will give you the chance to work behind the scenes of art selling, which can teach you, and show you ways to market your own art.
If you want to do an internship, apply for as many as possible; often these positions are oversubscribed, as there are very few successful galleries about, so there is no guarantee that you will be offered a place at the flick of your pen.
2.Teach the subject
Teachers earn a consistent income within the art world, so you can consider teaching art for financial stability. You can organise an after hour, or weekend arts training academy. You can also set up an online step by step course. While at the same time selling your finished art to students, their parents, and family friends
However, note of caution, it is important to make sure you have some experience for the role; lots of new graduates apply to teach art but just don’t have the experience. Normally these positions are very popular, so you need an edge to be considered.
3.Reduce your living expenses
The first step to make money is to carefully examine your market, your financies, and support models; spend money wisely remembering that rentage (see if you can work from your home) is a big expense.
Established artists make a consistent living, but for new artists it’s hard to guarantee how much you will earn. If you don’t earn enough one month and you have expensive bills to cover, you could end up in debts.
You can take the pressure off by reducing your living expenses (say down sizing your home location, move to the edge of town where rents are lower and spacious for a spare space for your art work)and moving somewhere cheaper.
It’s normally less expensive to live out of the urban areas, though logistic often take a toll, you can save even more money if you live in the countryside rather than the urban area. This is a difficult step, but it’s a sacrifice that makes it much easier towards becoming a professional artist.
4.Network with other artists and creative professionals.
To make money as an artist, its imperative that you network. Networking gives you the opportunity to talk to established artists, art agents, and buyers of art. They will give you insights into buying and selling of art works, and they may be willing to help you with exposure.
Make it a point of duty to visit art exhibitions and events including galleries; whem you meet and speak to more people at events and exhibitions, your career will start to gain momentum.
Artists rely on the art community to thrive and succeed, and the only way to join the community is by networking. You can also find groups or community of artists on the social media. Join as many as possible.
5.Create an art budget
Take your art career as an enterprise, even if as a hobby, so it makes sense that as an artists you have an art budget as well as art business plan model. If your goal is to be a professional artist and you need to spend money on supplies and travel, you must budget for these expenses pegging them against projected income or sales.
Sit down and work out your monthly art costs, including equipment and travel. This will be your monthly budget, which you can then add to rent and bills. This will help you to make sure you don’t overspend or underspend.
6.Create prpfessional profiles on creative selling websites and blogsite.
Take that plung with a remarkable chance to showcase your art to the world, so a larger audience will get to see your work. In today’s world, social media is one of the easiest ways to advertise, so you should use this to your advantage. Other members of the site can also buy your art, so this is a good way to get your first art sale. The best part is that you can sign up for free on many of the online spaces, so more people can see your art without you spending a single Naira or dollar.

Attitude Really Matters!
Hey there!
Do you ever think about this! What?
That the right attitude is the ladder to success.
Ten Steps For Turning Attitude Into positive Action:
1. Understand the Power of Attitude
2. Take Control of Your Life
3. Practice Self-Awareness
4. Re-Frame Your Bad Attitude
5. Find Your Purpose and Passion
6. Be Pre-Active
7. Discover How to Motivate Yourself
8. Build Supportive Relationships
9. See Change as an Opportunity
10. Leave a Lasting Legacy
You cannot have an inner negative attitude and expect tremendous success.
Be greatefull, appreciative, with humility and simplicity.. Tell everyone that come along "theyre beautiful " smile and let people feel the spirit of kindness from your heart.
Put on personal right attitude.
Imagine if you wore an old cloth, for years. It will get dirty, smelly, and shrinked. People will walk away from you. Wrong attitude in you does exactly the same. Just like a plane, takes on a new nice attitude.
When the pilot noses up, it fly remarkably high and fast into the sky attaining higher and higher altitude.
When the pilot tip the nose down it looses altitudes, and goes downwards.
Take a new attitude let it lead you ahead so it does not blare (intransitive) your sight and thinking.
Put on fresh new attitude!
Make up your mind to live each day to the fullest. This is the day the Lord has made, lets live it joyfully.
Remember, the rain falls on all (both righteous & sinners alike) without discrimination. One God for all.
Allow God shore our paths in life, just like the eagle, keep up the biggest attitude to live the best lifestyle. Think about it! The eagle never eats death duty food, its dive in with guided precision assured(catching its prey) of success
Dont live life of a chicken ( that eats even its own droppings) be an eagle. God did not give you a wing so you anchore to the ground? He gave us wings so we can reach for the sky with the right critical attitude.
Focus! On the positive attitude, like a plane, nose up with the right attitude, and humility. Watch how your talents, skills, career, profession, marriage and friendship soar higher like the EAGLE.
