Ignorance Is Not Excuse!!

There's really not a blessing in not knowing or noticing a talented or skilled person in your hoods.

Truly, are we better off to "tend to our own affairs" and walk or drive pass through life blissfully pretenting unawareness of  communal facts and obligation that might likely "bother us" or impact society.

Many have this selfish attitude, and some even offer scriptural "proof" (it is nice to know just enough, to know one does not walk away) to cover certain or obvious ineptitude.

Several gifted individuals languish in our local communities here in Nigeria; not due to the economic lagases, but for lack of knowledge and information vital to their natural progress in their career path. 

Once, in 2009 sauntering along a meadring road, that house a social relaxation corner. On approach, i heard karaoke song blaring through a bungy speaker. 
A look inside, revealed 6 young boys and girls mimicking a popular song by one of the top stars in Lagos. Mehn! they came through rather better than the original, with their own version. 

Hangout! revellers got up to offer them money, bottles of beer, and suya pack. Listening and bonded to the song and band's retwit lyrics, it done on me, "this folks need some kind of publicity". 

I walked over, after the show and request to meet their manager, to my suprise they have none. They spoke in unison! 'oga we de manage our sef uu ooo'. I chuck a sickie!!  So i gave them my business card, invited them over for a meeting. 

The band team turned up, we discussed role of band's manager, publicity, adverts, and marketing; quite literally why they should develop their band brand. 

Long and short, "BusyBee band" today provide freelance instrumental back up to popular one man artist all over Nigeria.

The lead vocal 'Adesegun' drop by with gifts in while, in appreciation of the very first meeting and education. 

I feel rather fulfilled, and ecstatic, to be historically referenced as the founder of (not in partnership term) the popular freelance group B'B. 

The group have provided backup to a lot of stars in Nigeria today working in the background, quietly part taking in the limelight of those solo artist, and carefull articulate stardom management.
